There has been loads of events on Surfers Poker over the years. Some of the popular events are the WSOSP (World Series of Surfers Poker), Sharkfin, Poker After Dark, Survivor, SNG Championship, Deepest Finish Contests, MMC Contests, Pro Tour, etc, etc. We did over 1400 events/contests in total. Scroll down to the bottom for a fuller list.
1. The WSOSP (World Series of Surfers Poker)
The WSOSP took place every year, and sometimes twice a year. It comprised of a series of different poker tournaments in different poker games or formats. There were bonus cash prizes, BAS access, and a coveted WSOSP bracelet for each winner. The first ever winner was EmulationX (member Riverwheel), who went on to become a Surfers Poker moderator
Here is the schedule from the 11th World Series of Surfers Poker (WSOSP):

4 pts for 1st place
(1 bonus point for 1st place for field sizes above 10 players)
Note: For the Heads-up event 3rd and 4th place will score 1.5 pts

2. Poker After Dark
3) MMC (Micro Millions Contest)
The 6th Micro Millions series takes place on Pokerstars from 14th Nov to 24th Nov incl. and comprises of 100 events.
The Micro Millions Contest is based on that series, and is open to all Surfers Poker members. The member with the highest points wins $7.77 and an Event Winner title.

Poker After Dark is the Surfers Poker league event. It comprises of a number of private games, with a prize and bling title for the overall winner.
PAD IX will comprise of 8 NLHE games. All the games will be on PokerStars.
The buy-in for each game will be $1.10. Passwords available to any member with 3+ posts (see 'Passwords' forum).
The winner in each game will win a Surfers event winner title, as normal for the individual Poker After Dark events.
Points
The points will be normal PAD format of reverse scores relating to the number of entrants, with 2 bonus point for the winner, and 1 bonus point for 2nd place. Minimum score at the bottom end of the table will be 3 pts if 6-11 entrants, and 4 points of 12 entrants or more.

1st - 12 pts
2nd - 10 pts
3rd - 8 pts
4th - 7 pts
5th - 6 pts
6th - 5 pts
7th - 4 pts
8th - 3 pts
9th - 3 pts
10th - 3 pts
Ghost Points
To cater for players who may miss some of the games through non-availability Ghost Points can be claimed. These are extra special Xmas Ghost Points (larger than in normal PADs). You can claim them in up to 4 games.
5 entrants or less = 2 pts
6-8 entrants = 3 pts
9-11 entrants = 4 pts
12-14 entrants = 5 pts
15-17 entrants = 6 pts
18+ entrants = 7 pts
You can claim your Ghost Points at any point up to 23:59 ET on 27th Dec. Remember you can only claim them for a maximum of 4 games, but you can claim them at any point whatsoever before the deadline. Just post in this thread the Game(s) that you claim them for. eg "Claim Ghost Points for Game 3"

Remember that you can play anything between 4 and 8 of those games. There are lots of Ghost Points available for ones you might miss.
Side Action (optional)
Side Action is available at $10 for anyone wanting it. Highest placed out of side action entrants will scoop the lot.
Prizes
The winner of the Poker After Dark league will win $20.00, a Bling Title, and BAS access.
The players in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th places will enter a dance off. Best dance sequence (in Paint, stickmen fine) from one of those 4 players will win a $10 consolation prize. You will be given a extra theme element at the end of the contest to prevent advance preparation.

Top 0.5% finish in an event - 3 points
2nd largest cash - 9 points
3rd largest cash - 8 points
4th largest cash - 7 points

10th largest cash - 1 point
2nd highest - 9 points

(eg finishing 21st is always higher than finishing 22nd, regardless of fieldsize)
