Way too many sites try to rank people in relation to winnings. It is all well and good showing $100,000 in winnings, but if it cost you $120,000 in entry fees to get you there well that's not exactly great. Therefore all Hall of Famers need to show a good profit (ie positive ROI, the higher the better).
Secondly is sustainability. Bringing home one major tournament does wonders for your ROI%, but does this make you a great? In short, no. Poker is a fragile game. One tournament can never rate the merits of one player. What we need to see is sustainable results.

Criteria for becoming a Hall of Famer :-
ROI of over 100% from a dataset of over 200 MTTs, with a TTP =14% or over
What this means is you cant just catch a couple of lucky tourney wins for entry into the hall of fame. (from 200 Mtts, you would need to finish in the top ten percent of the field at least 28 times).
All of the original eight hall of famers show a profit of a least $30k accross their dataset, however the actual dollar amount of profit isn't directly a criteria.
NOTE :- TTP is used for consistency/sustainability rather than ITM. This is because ITM is generally a very weak statistic. eg a tournament can quite easily pay 30% of the field, and also can quite easily pay 1% of the field. If a player has an ITM of 20% it doesnt really mean anything concrete. TTP is much more useful.
Players who didnt quite make it in the latest draft:-
Knocking on the door of the Hall of Fame are some of the usual suspects :- CrazyMarco (LayItDownSr), Zongpoker, Comeonphish, Bodogari, CrazyCypriot, JohnnyBax, TimDidiase, Imper1um, SamENole, HarryReams, BelowAbove, kwob20, zangbezan24, lilholdem954, Gigabet, MrSmokey1
